When Will I See Results?

After your CoolSculpting® procedure, the fat cells are targeted by your immune system and are slowly reduced*. Remember, these cells have been damaged and killed as a result of their exposure to cold temperatures. Once the immune system “tags” the damaged cells, they are quickly processed from the body through normal channels. This leaves empty “pockets” that are ready to be filled with the remaining fat cells. Over time, these cells will evenly redistribute themselves into a tightly-formed cluster once again, much like a cluster of grapes. This slow but efficient process is why CoolSculpting® may not cause loose or sagging skin like other aesthetic procedures can do. Instead, CoolSculpting® possibly allows the skin to adjust to the decreased fatty tissue over time, possibly leaving the skin tight, firm, and smooth.
Research has shown that the maximum benefit can possibly be reached near the twelve-week mark*. For some individuals, results may be seen in as little as four weeks. However, our clinical experience has shown that most patients may possibly see noticeable changes between eight and twelve weeks. So, patience is required with the CoolSculpting® procedure, but the results can be worth the wait!
